1 Opening the Church

  • Vestry - storage room - first door on the right down the corridor from church

  • Check kitchen urns are on for Breakfast ministry

  • Turn on computer for live transcription/translation

  • Turn on Church urn for morning tea

5.30pm Service specific

  • Put out welcoming table

All Services

  • Check bathrooms - flush toilets, top up any paper or hand wash from kitchen store room

  • Turn on all bathroom and hallway lights

  • Check front of property for excess rubbish - clean up using claw tool and garbage bags from vestry

  • Open church sliding doors - instruction diagram on doors

  • Unlock Narthex and Carpark pedestrian gates - ask Dean or Wardens for code

  • Turn on church Lights: switches in family room [Light switch diagram]

  • Turn on church Fans: Control panel in family room - code 0000 - Switch on with power button in bottom left, please do not change fan speed - [Fan control diagram]

  • Put out service sheets and name stickers from back drawer

  • Put out Microphones - Microphones top drawer in vestry and AA batteries to be put in rechargers next to fridge after use [Microphone and battery chargers]

  • Turn on the Sound System - Sound system procedure: follow the shutdown procedure carefully [Sound System Procedure]

  • See up Communion if relevant [instructions below]

  • Turn on candles if relevant

2 Communion setup/packup

Communion setup - onto brown credence table behind large communion table

  • Sufficient wine (clear glasses) and grape juice (colored glasses) from vestry fridge onto trays for specific service [See diagram]

  • Tray with Chalice, regular bread, gluten free bread, hand sanitizer and white cloths [See diagram]

  • Wooden bowls onto front pews for cup returns

Communion packup

  • Consume excess bread, wine and grape juice

  • Used cups and items to kitchen - clean and set to dry

  • Return all other trays and bowls to communion cupboard in vestry

  • Organise for stained cloths to be cleaned and returned

3 Closing the Church

8am Service specifics

  • Turn off and put away the computer for live transcription/translation

9.30am Service specifics

  • Turn off Church urn for morning tea

  • Check kitchen urns for Breakfast ministry are off

5.30pm Service specific

  • Put away welcoming table
