Preach the Word 2026 Conference - Speaker: Philip Jensen

Saturday 13 June | 9:00am–4:00pm
St Peter’s Anglican Church, Millner

This one-day conference is aimed at ministers, pastors, and ministry leaders who want to grow in faithful and effective Bible teaching. Grounded in the call of 2 Timothy 4:2, the day will focus on strengthening our preaching ministries “in season and out of season.”

Phillip Jensen will lead a series of sessions under the theme “The Very Oracles of God”, helping us think clearly about the task of preparing and delivering God’s word. The conference is also a valuable chance to connect with others serving in gospel ministry across Darwin.

(Early bird discount available before 31 May)

Ascension Day Service

Ascension Day Service

The end of the Easter season is the feast of the Ascension, 40 days after Easter, and referred to in the Book of Common Prayer (1662) as Holy Thursday. It is the magnificent conclusion to Jesus’ physical ministry on this planet as the incarnate God, well, in the present age anyway, and worth celebrating. Some theologians see it as the final climax of Jesus’ enthronement process as the true king in the Kingdom of God.

Many of us perhaps don’t come from traditions where this Feast Day was even recognised. But we can change that!

The cathedral is holding an Ascension Day service on Thursday May 14th at 7pm, and we would love this to be a combined service for all the Anglican churches in Greater Darwin.
