Mission of the Month: AuSIL
The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.
Give thanks and pray for translators from 5 different language groups who will attend Nungalinya College this year to study a Certificate in Indigenous Translating.
Pray that they will learn well and have opportunities to use their skills back in their communities.
Pray especially for new and revived Scripture translation in Mawng (Goulburn Island), Tiwi (Tiwi Islands), and Anindilyakwa (Groote Eylandt).

FAMILY VIOLENCE
We pray for all experiencing family violence. We also pray for those who choose to use violence — help them to change: to change their attitudes and their behaviour. May they have a kind of epiphany about their behaviour and thinking that leads to deep and enduring respect for all people especially women and children. Help those who suffer from family violence especially gender-based - may they receive help, support and justice. Help us all to be part of change where we can.
