Mission of the Month: The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL)
The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.
Thank God for local translators in Australia and East Timor who work to bring his word into their heart languages. Praise him for the Mawng and Tiwi language projects which have begun this year and pray for the Anindilyakwa language group starting next year. Pray that God would continue to raise up local translators, together with translation advisors and consultants, so that everyone can have the good news of Jesus in the language they speak.
