Mission of the Month: The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL)
The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.
Give thanks for the continued progress of the Plain English Version (PEV) translation project, which is making God’s word accessible to those from an Indigenous language background who do not yet have the Bible in their heart language. Pray for the PEV team as they work towards the goal of completing the New Testament, and for our partners at the Bible Society who are producing audio versions of the translation.
