Mission of the Month: AuSIL

The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.

Give thanks and pray for translators from 5 different language groups who will attend Nungalinya College this year to study a Certificate in Indigenous Translating.

Pray that they will learn well and have opportunities to use their skills back in their communities.

Pray especially for new and revived Scripture translation in Mawng (Goulburn Island), Tiwi (Tiwi Islands), and Anindilyakwa (Groote Eylandt).
