Mission of the Month: AuSIL
The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.
Praise God for the strong Christian heritage and presence in many remote Indigenous communities, and for the local believers who are committed to translating God’s word into their heart languages, amidst many other demands on their time and energies.
Pray that they will find great joy and encouragement in this ministry, and that older translators will effectively pass the baton to upcoming generations to continue their work.
