Mission of the Month: The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL)

The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.

This week AuSIL is hosting a multi-language translation workshop for Indigenous translators from across Arnhem Land. Each group will work on translating a short Bible passage into their community's language and producing printed, visual and audio resources to take home to their churches. Pray that the logistics of the week will run smoothly, and that God will use the fruits of this workshop to encourage local translators and continue building his church in remote areas of Australia.
