Notice of the 2025 Christ Church Annual Meeting
The 2025 annual meeting will be held on Sunday 2/2/2025 between 3.30pm and 5pm
During this meeting we receive reports from various ministries and parish council, a budget for the current calendar year, elect office bearers for the church, and pray for our church.
The meeting will decide how big the parish council will be (a multiple of 3), and then elect wardens, parish councillors, synod representatives, and an auditor.
Wardens, with the rector, are the executive officers of the church and, if necessary, are nominators with the Bishop for a new Rector/Dean.
Parish council is responsible for the financial and property matters of the church, as well as consulting with the Dean about spiritual matters.
Synod representatives are able to vote at the synod for the diocese. They are also eligible for a number of diocesan committees.
Wardens, parish councillors, and synod representatives must comply with the Anglican diocese’s Safe Ministry Screening Protocol.
Current office bearers are:
Wardens: Teresa Schwellnus, Martin Kane and Michael Patrick
Parish Council: Timothy Danby (treasurer) Eliza Cook, Peter Mason, Teena Jones, Erick Outa and John McClement
Synod Reps: Ben Staunton, Jo Vandersee and Peter Mason
