Mission of the Month: The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL)
The Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation committed to serving Indigenous communities through linguistic research, translation, training, and the development of language resources, with a particular focus on Christian Scripture and discipleship materials.
Week 4 prayer: Praise God that the AuSIL team is growing, with three new translation advisers joining us this year, together with an office manager to provide much needed admin support. Give thanks for our good connections with Bible colleges around Australia, and for the young people who are expressing interest in this ministry field. Pray that God will continue to raise up more workers to support Bible translation and Scripture use in Indigenous Australian communities.
